Women sports don't generate enough spectators. This is one of the main reasons women in sports don't get paid equally. Most countries don't watch women sports since it is culture in many countries that on a specfic day they will watch their countries greatest sport play (men particpate in it.) Women don't get as much recegnation becuase they are said "irrelvant" by most and put them down.
Another main cause why women don't get paid equally is because they don't get enough sponserships. Considering their lower pay in their contracts many people in sports seek out sponsership for extra pay outside their contract. It is howeever harder for a woman to get a sponsership since they don't have as much reginition compared to other so considering that they have a low contract and get no sponserships they need a raise .
There is a very easy solution to this problem, raising women's sport pay. By adding a few extra dollars to their contracts (thousands). This would cause them to be closer to their goal of equal pay. Also the WNBA should host special event like the NBA such as 3 point contest and dunk contest. This can be a spector trap and catch some spectaters. This will also help them get regination and enable them to get more sponserships
